December 15-Day 2 of home clean out
Todays progress on HRI home project! We filled another dump trailer full of stuff and pretty much got the home cleaned out of all clutter and trash as well as some of the outside junk! Tomorrow will be a short day starting at 10am and ending around noon to start deep cleaning the home...in the process of today we were able to see things a lot more and found some extra repairs that will be needed so we will be waiting for the contractor to come out hopefully the beginning of next week and go from there. We want to thank veteran_branding_llc again for the use of the dump trailer!! Yall are awesome!...the contractor will hopefully be available the beginning of next week to guide us on repairs to make sure we do it to code. We will be out there tomorrow for a short day starting at 10am till about noon to start the deep cleaning process!

This years Veterans Charity Ball was a masquerade themed ball. The purpose of the annual ball has several initiatives.
1.) To honor all veterans in attendance
2.) To make right the wrong done to our Vietnam Veterans and welcome them home properly, to include a special ceremonial lapel pin and recognition in conjunction to our membership to the Vietnam Veterans Commemoration partnership.
3.) To remember our fallen heroes, no matter how they left us. We recognize their service and sacrifice, and how they lived.
4.) To continue our mission of suicide awareness and intervention.
5.) To give recognitions to our membership and volunteers for their commitment and service to the stryketeam, and the veterans they are helping.
6.) To provide a larger grant to an organization (non-profit) within our local community that is actively doing, and serving their mission goals within the community as part of our community outreach.
7.) To provide an event where all those in attendance have an opportunity to have a little joy and fun while setting aside the stresses in their lives, and networking with other veterans and supporters within the community.
